Three incredible gifts (thanks to YOU)

Though 2021 was a challenging year in many ways, the end of the year delivered three incredible gifts.

First, thanks to YOU, we exceeded our end of year fundraising goal. We are so grateful! Your support will fuel Girls Leadership’s work to ensure that every girl, family, and teacher has access to the skills to cultivate influence, leadership, and power, and to ensure that all girls are seen, valued, and connected to community.

Second, one of our Power Lab partners — Natomas Unified School District — shared an incredible impact story that we hope you will click over and read. In order to create safe spaces for girls to grow, thrive, and create meaningful friendships and a feeling of connectedness, Natomas Unified School District partnered with Girls Leadership to pilot our Girls LeadHERship Club at Bannon Creek School and Natomas Middle School. Reading the responses to the fall program moved us deeply, and we’re thrilled that they will offer Girls LeadHERship Club this month at Natomas Middle School and Jefferson K–8 School. If you are interested in learning how to bring Girls Leadership’s programs, professional development training, and curriculum to your school, please let us know by dropping a note to info@girlsleadership.org

And third, seeing the loving impact of your generosity — through both the above fundraising and impact story — helped our team fully sink into Girls Leadership’s core principles of wellness and healing during the winter break. Closing for the last two weeks of the year is just one way we work to be intentional about our collective wellness and healing, and it is a smoother journey when you know that your community has your back. So thank you!

And now, rested and energized, we are here to support you. We hope you will join us for our signature Raising Resilient Girls webinar on January 10. And if you are a parent or caregiver of a girl in kindergarten through 8th grade, sign up for one of our Girl & Grown-up online workshops starting January 18. These programs are designed to help families garner practical skills to manage emotions, handle conflict, and more. Trust us, there is no better way to start 2022 together.
