Girls Leadership + WNBA

CALLING GIRLS’ BASKETBALL COACHES + PLAYERS!

Are you a girls’ basketball coach or a girl player?* We want to hear from you!

Girls Leadership is partnering with Her Time To Play, a national initiative created by the NBA and WNBA that aims to inspire the next generation of girls to play basketball in a positive and healthy way, to build on the program’s commitment to helping participants ages 7–17 develop as leaders in their communities and connect with one another through the game. As part of the partnership, Girls Leadership will create a comprehensive Her Time to Play curriculum and training opportunities for coaches in an effort to encourage young women to use their voices, take care of their mental health and wellbeing, and support their teammates on and off the court.

*Girl(s) includes anyone who identifies as a girl, as well as non-binary and gender expansive youth.

SURVEYS FOR COACHES

If you coach girls’ basketball for ages 7–17, we want to learn more about your experience coaching and what you see as your players’ greatest needs right now. Please complete this survey before Monday January 24, and share your thoughts. It will take about 7 to 10 minutes to complete. As a thank you for your time, you’ll be entered into a raffle to receive a WNBA swag item (favorite team hat, WNBA t-shirt, tote, padfolio)!

Thank you for taking the time to help us develop culturally-responsive and trauma-informed resources for coaches and girls.

INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES OF GIRLS

To create a leadership and wellness program for girls’ basketball players that really makes a difference, we want to hear from the girls themselves!

We ask that you share this survey with your daughter and ask her to complete it before Monday, January 24. It will take about 7 to 10 minutes to complete. As a thank you for your time, you’ll be entered into a raffle to receive a WNBA swag item (favorite team hat, WNBA t-shirt, tote, padfolio)!

Thank you for taking the time to help us develop wellness resources for girls’ basketball coaches and players!

My team was able to join this event and we’re beyond grateful for the opportunity to be part of this. I was wondering when the next one will happen? This was an amazing experience and definitely one for the books. Looking forward to more of this.
