Resa Caivano

Resa is a physician of Family Medicine with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group. As the elected Physician Lead of Government Relations for the group’s Sickle Cell Team in West LA, Resa is passionate about health equity and closing the disparity gap of patients who receive treatment. A community leader on the board of several local and national campaigns, Resa is known for her dedicated approach to her patients and to her team at SCPMG. Resa received her Bachelor of Science in biochemistry at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and her MD degree at Howard University. A strong supporter of public education and seeing young girls thrive, Resa is highly involved in her community, serves on the Board of Directors for the South Central Family Health Center and is a mentor at Imagine LA, an organization dedicated to ending family homelessness and chronic poverty. She lives in Silver Lake with her husband, and can often be found harvesting herbs and vegetables from her terrace garden with her three equally unique and wonderful daughters.
