Jessica Cortez is a theatre artist from San Diego, CA. She holds a Master’s of Arts degree in Applied Theatre from CUNY School of Professional Studies and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego in Ethnic Studies and Theatre Arts with a minor in Leadership/Nonprofit Management. Jessica has been a teaching artist for five years working with companies such as the San Diego Opera, Teatro Izcalli, Ping Chong + Co, and most recently the Creative Arts Team. Jessica has performed as an actor, dancer, stilt walker, and fire spinner. She also has experience as a stage manager, assistant director, and experiential producer. Jessica is excited to be joining the Girls Leadership team!
