Throughout her career, Jennifer has worked in marketing, management, social impact, event-planning and sales, in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. She’s also been a small business owner for over a decade, teaching, coaching and consulting. She’s Passageworks trained and an Iyengar yoga teacher with multiple levels of certification. Her passion for education and girls’ empowerment has been woven through all these endeavors.

Along with a wide variety of professional experiences, Jennifer brings an enthusiasm and deep commitment to social-emotional learning to Girls Leadership. She believes all girls can be resilient, compassionate and courageous leaders.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies with a focus on Third World Economics from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Colorado – Boulder’s graduate program specifically focused on multiculturalism. Her years in the classroom were spent working with at-risk children in underserved neighborhoods. Jennifer always seeks to learn from cultures and people different from her own and as such has lived in France, Spain, Nicaragua and Thailand and spent time teaching on the US/Mexico border.

In her personal life, Jennifer never takes for granted living at the base of the beautiful foothills of Boulder. She and her eight-year-old daughter love the outdoors, their pup Zeke and having adventures. In her personal time, Jennifer writes, reads, swims, cooks and surrounds herself with art and music.
