Darolyn Davis

Darolyn Davis, the founder and CEO of D&A Communications,
is an award-winning communications professional with more than
35 years of experience developing communication strategies and public
engagement initiatives. She oversees day-to-day management of the firm
and serves as the visionary on many of the agency’s accounts. As the daughter
of a news cameraman and a pioneering journalist, communications has
been a large part of Darolyn’s life. At a very young age, she recognized
the impact that words and visuals have on the world and developed
a passion for storytelling. Naturally, she adopted a lifelong interest
in media and communications.

Clients recognize Darolyn for her keen ability and experience in managing
brand reputation, growing stakeholder engagement, increasing awareness,
and shaping public perception.

Since 1996, D&A has provided integrated communications strategies,
marketing, advertising, government relations, reputation management, public relations, community engagement,
media relations and digital services to government agencies, corporations, and non-profit organizations.

Before founding Davis & Associates, Darolyn served as press secretary to then-California State Assembly
Speaker Willie L. Brown, Jr. were she developed communication strategies
for complex issues, crafting targeted messages, and coordinating countless public relations events.
